We’ve some great news to share. Bord Bia has been named the most reputable organisation in Ireland, and the Irish food manufacturing industry has been voted the most trustworthy, according to the annual Ireland RepTrak® 2016 study launched this morning.
Over 5,000 members of the general public were interviewed as part of the study. The news was officially announced by The Reputations Agency earlier today. The press release can be read in full on our website later today.
To be ranked among the most reputable companies is a huge honour and while we may be a little chuffed today, we know that, ultimately, our reputation is based upon an effective partnership with you - our client companies and stakeholders.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for helping to make this happen. Every food producer, regardless of sector or scale, has played a part in building the reputation of the Irish food industry at home and abroad.
This survey is a great way to measure how we perform as an organisation and as we progress through the busy period ahead, we hope we can continue to meet the expectations of the public and you, our clients.
In other news….
Following a busy week which included a successful Trade Mission to Iran, Seafood Expo Global in Brussels and the launch of new updated Gluten Free research, we are facing into a busy weekend for the organisation.
Later this evening, we are hosting a ‘Taste of Ireland’ event for over 300 Mojocon (a journalism conference) delegates, namely international media, online influencers and Irish media representatives. Communications and Events have worked together, in conjunction with RTE, to organise a showcase of Irish food and drink. For those of you who tweet, they will be using the #irishfood hashtag throughout the day if you wish to keep up to date.
Meanwhile, at 7.00pm tonight RTE One’s Nationwide television show will focus on the hugely successful Food Works programme. The show was recorded some weeks ago and will include an interview with Mary Morrissey, a number of our client companies and our sister agencies Enterprise Ireland and Teagasc.
Finally, our Chief Executive Aidan Cotter will be interviewed on RTE Radio One’s Countrywide show in the morning just after the 8.30am ad break.
Thanks again everyone and we hope you enjoy the bank holiday weekend.
For the next bank holiday, we’ll be at Bloom!
